I&#8217;d be working on an exit and possibly renouncing citizenship, extracting myself from under the crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.faithwire.com\/2026\/02\/24\/canadian-christian-fined-massively-for-posting-there-are-only-two-sexes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.faithwire.com\/2026\/02\/24\/canadian-christian-fined-massively-for-posting-there-are-only-two-sexes\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ub-divider ub_divider ub-divider-orientation-horizontal\" id=\"ub_divider_45b60759-7316-404a-84ee-ef209e013514\"><div class=\"ub_divider_wrapper\" style=\"position: relative; margin-bottom: 2px; width: 100%; height: 2px; \" data-divider-alignment=\"center\"><div class=\"ub_divider_line\" style=\"border-top: 2px solid #ccc; margin-top: 2px; \"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.faithwire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/AP22194474255797-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">AP Photo\/Hassan Ammar, File<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By Tr\u00e9 Goins-Phillips<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A former Canadian school board trustee \u2014 an outspoken Christian \u2014 is facing nearly $1 million in fines for expressing on social media his belief that there are only two sexes, male and female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In mid-February, the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal ordered former Chilliwack Board of Education trustee Barry Neufeld to pay $750,000 for allegedly discriminating against LGBT-identified teachers and staff members in the Chilliwack School District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tribunal decided the massive fine will be used to compensate LGBT-identified employees who have sustained \u201cinjury to their dignity, feelings, and self-respect\u201d because of Neufeld\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the number of LGBT-identified people on staff from 2017 to 2022 ranging from 45 to 163, the tribunal is expecting each impacted employee to receive somewhere between $4,601.23 and $16,666.67 from the fine levied against Neufeld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Canadian Christian Fined MASSIVELY for Posting There Are Only Two Sexes\" width=\"1290\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_derTOINB-0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The former trustee, who is now appealing the tribunal\u2019s ruling, has also been ordered to pay $442 to an unnamed plaintiff identified as \u201cTeacher C\u201d to compensate the former teacher\u2019s lost wages for attending a hearing about Neufeld\u2019s personal views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of this began back in October 2017, when Neufeld posted on his personal Facebook page that the district\u2019s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) program was rooted not in biology but was \u201ca social construct.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt the risk of being labelled a bigoted homophobe, I have to say that I support traditional family values and I agree with the [American] College of Pediatricians that allowing little children choose to change gender is nothing short of child abuse,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut now the [British Columbia] Ministry of Education has embraced the LGBTQ lobby and is forcing this biologically absurd theory on children in our schools. Children are being taught that heterosexual marriage is no longer the norm. Teachers must not refer to \u2018boys and girls\u2019 they are merely students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In additional social media posts, Neufeld wrote about the tension between being compassionate while not compromising on his convictional belief that there are only two sexes, as defined in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%201%3A27&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Genesis 1:27<\/a>, where it\u2019s written, \u201cSo God created human beings&nbsp;in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them\u201d (NLT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neufeld explained he felt called to \u201c[t]o motivate lukewarm Christians who are sitting idly by as all of Society \u2018slouches towards Gomorrah,&#8217;\u201d adding the promotion of transgender ideology has \u201cdemonized people of faith who believe that God created humans male and female: In the Image of God.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rights and Freedoms Fundraising Society is <a href=\"https:\/\/rightsandfreedoms.org\/Support-Barry-Neufeld\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raising money<\/a> for Neufeld\u2019s legal appeal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fined $750,000 dollars to pay the sexual deviants because they had their feelings hurt, for quoting the Bible that God created them male and female, a biological fact.
