It appears a second US carrier strike group is heading to the Middle East. There is one additional carrier at sea off the west coast of the US, but supposedly training and not a deployment. Taken the USS George HW Bush moving to the Middle East with all the C17 shipments reported heading to the Middle East<\/a>, a significant operation against Iran might be in the works. There was a documented flight out of Iran to Russia, which could have been leadership, but more likely the removal of their families similar to what happened in Syria before the end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrier strike group (CSG) is an operational formation of the United States Navy. It is centered on an aircraft carrier and a carrier air wing of 65 to 70 aircrafts. It\u2019s composed of roughly 7,500 personnel, an aircraft carrier, at least one cruiser, a destroyer squadron of at least two destroyers and\/or frigates. A carrier strike group also, on occasion, includes submarines, attached logistics ships and a supply ship.
