And for decades the medical and pharmaceutical system is just a wealth transfer scheme to the OCGFC, Owners and Controllers of Global Financialized Capital. A couple decades ago when I worked for AT&amp;T during one of our contract negotiations, they were paying on average $14,400 per employee for medical coverage, and that&#8217;s part of your compensation hidden from you for tax reasons, and you can&#8217;t opt out and get that money. During my 18 years that was over couple hundred thousand dollars I could have stacked, having most left if I just paid out of pocket like our parents did when I was young. and I remember being a small child when a doctor still made house calls with very reasonable fees. Consequently, today&#8217;s white coats are ghouls you&#8217;re best to avoid anyway unless you vet a good one that isn&#8217;t indoctrinated into their corrupt system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/slaynews.com\/news\/canadians-forced-choosing-euthanasia-denied-treatments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/slaynews.com\/news\/canadians-forced-choosing-euthanasia-denied-treatments\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ub-divider ub_divider ub-divider-orientation-horizontal\" id=\"ub_divider_65f24bec-06cf-406b-b9f3-553cd9e79287\"><div class=\"ub_divider_wrapper\" style=\"position: relative; margin-bottom: 2px; width: 100%; height: 2px; \" data-divider-alignment=\"center\"><div class=\"ub_divider_line\" style=\"border-top: 2px solid #ccc; margin-top: 2px; \"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p>By Frank Bergman<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spcdn.shortpixel.ai\/spio\/ret_img,q_cdnize,to_webp,s_webp\/slaynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/canada-euthanise-citizens-doctors-demand.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Canada\u2019s spiraling euthanasia system is once again under fire as heartbreaking new accounts reveal that a surging number of patients are being forced into \u201cchoosing\u201d the government\u2019s \u201cassisted suicide\u201d death program after being denied actual medical care under the nation\u2019s collapsing socialized healthcare model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An alarming number of Canadians are reporting that they have no other choice but to agree to be euthanized by the government, despite the supposed availability of treatments for their conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Slay News has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/slaynews.com\/news\/canadian-government-saves-136-million-on-healthcare-by-euthanizing-citizens-study-finds\/\">reported<\/a>, the government\u2019s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program is now saving tens of millions of dollars a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, the government saved over $136 million by euthanizing patients instead of treating them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest chilling case to emerge is that of 84-year-old Cleo Gratton, a retired diamond driller from Chelmsford, Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gratton\u2019s story is sending shockwaves across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He died earlier this month of natural causes, but only after being approved for the government\u2019s \u201cassisted suicide\u201d scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His family says the approval came directly after an appalling hospital experience that left him convinced death was preferable to returning to the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gratton suffered from heart disease and kidney failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But instead of receiving dignified care during a recent hospital stay, the CBC reports he spent a night in an emergency room, only to be transferred to a hallway on the seventh floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The taxpayer-funded doctors refused to give him the care he needed and convinced him that euthanasia would better serve the greater good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere were no lights; all the bulbs in that hallway had been completely removed,\u201d his daughter Lynn said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPatients are passing by, nurses are going by, no privacy, no compassion, no dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added that nurses had to use headlamps just to examine his feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conditions were so degrading that Gratton told his family he would \u201crather die than go back.\u201d Days later, he applied for MAiD \u2014 Canada\u2019s euthanasia program now infamous for replacing care with chemical death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before his natural passing, Gratton pleaded with his family to expose what he endured: \u201cPush, push, push for change\u2026 Make people aware of what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His family is honoring that wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Pattern of Patients Being Denied Care \u2014 but Approved for Death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gratton\u2019s story is only the latest in a staggering pattern: Canadians who want medical treatment, home care, or palliative support are being told the only available option is assisted suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slay News has been <a href=\"https:\/\/slaynews.com\/news\/disabled-man-issues-plea-help-canadian-doctors-push-euthanize-him\/\">tracking these cases<\/a> for years, and they\u2019re accelerating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u2022<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/assisted-death-quadriplegic-quebec-man-er-bed-sore-1.7171209\">Norman Meunier<\/a> (Quebec): A quadriplegic man who developed severe bedsores after being left on an ER stretcher for four days without a proper mattress. Overwhelmed and denied home care, he \u201cchose\u201d MAiD last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u2022<\/strong> \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/ontario-chief-coroner-reports-raise-concerns-that-maid-policy-and-practice-focus-on-access-rather-than-protection-253917\">Mrs. B<\/a>\u201d (Ontario): An 80-year-old woman denied hospice and palliative care. After her spouse became overwhelmed, she was assessed for MAiD and lethally injected shortly after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u2022<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/manitoba\/sathya-dharma-kovac-als-medical-assistance-in-death-1.6605754\">Sathya Dhara Khovac<\/a> (Winnipeg): A 44-year-old woman who repeatedly begged for home care resources but was refused. In her obituary, she wrote she \u201ccould have had more time\u201d if she\u2019d been given help. Instead, she was euthanized in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u2022<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/canada-denies-home-healthcare-to-als-patient-pays-for-assisted-suicide-instead.html\">Sean Tagert<\/a> (B.C.): A 41-year-old father who battled the system for years to receive home care that would allow him to remain close to his son. Unable to secure the support he needed, he felt he had \u201cno other choice\u201d but euthanasia in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;\u2022&nbsp;<\/strong>Canadian veterans: A recent <a href=\"https:\/\/slaynews.com\/news\/bombshell-testimony-exposes-canadian-governments-push-euthanize-veterans\/\">testimony revealed<\/a> a surging number of veterans are being offered MAiD instead of the mental health support they requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These aren\u2019t isolated incidents, however.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They\u2019re a systemic feature of a government-run system using euthanasia as a cost-saving pressure valve for an overstretched and underfunded healthcare bureaucracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Healthcare System Pushing Vulnerable Toward Death<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even as Gratton\u2019s family praised the individual doctors and nurses, who they said are overworked and stretched thin, they warned that the system itself is failing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy are they still taking in patients if we have an overcrowding issue and they have no place to put these people?\u201d Lynn asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The answer is becoming clearer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system has an escape hatch after legalizing euthanasia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather than investing in long-term care, home care, mental health support, or palliative medicine, Canada\u2019s government has built the world\u2019s most aggressive assisted suicide regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it is increasingly used on the elderly, the disabled, the poor, and those simply unable to access basic support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the government pushing to expand MAiD to include mental illness, critics warn the system will shift from crisis to catastrophe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Euthanasia Has Become the Default Option, Not the Last Resort<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a civilized society, assisted suicide would be a tragic last resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Canada, it is becoming a routine substitute for care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The chilling reality is that the Liberal Canadian government now sees \u201cassisted suicide\u201d as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A cost-saving mechanism.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A release valve for a failing system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A quiet way to disappear the vulnerable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s coercion through neglect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And unless Canadians demand change, the stories will only grow more frequent and more horrifying.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is that socialized medicine they&#8217;re trying to bring to America, &#8220;your treatment is we can kill you as its best for everybody you do realize.&#8221; Interestingly, it seems our US healthcare is cooked, I keep seeing people talking about ridiculous monthly premiums and higher deductibles, where you&#8217;re technically not getting anything after spending thousands.
