And when all combined make getting work done extremely difficult and unnecessarily stressful. And this drives people to self medicate in various ways or indulge in sinful behaviors that usually leave them in a worse state. So the article doesn&#8217;t begin to cover how the system is setup and designed against the employee. And today they spy on you like a dog with <a href=\"https:\/\/jasonsblog.ddns.net\/index.php\/2025\/09\/16\/a-third-of-uk-firms-using-bossware-to-monitor-workers-activity-survey-reveals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bossware<\/a> while already <a href=\"https:\/\/jasonsblog.ddns.net\/index.php\/2023\/02\/01\/are-you-ready-for-brain-transparency-and-ai-reading-your-mind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">experimenting with brainwave scanning headphones to monitor you<\/a> as well (they really desire implants). Toxic work environments are playing a large role in an epidemic of worsening mental health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monster.com\/career-advice\/job-search\/news-and-insights\/mental-health-in-the-workplace-poll-2025\">Monster\u2019s newly released 2025 Mental Health in the Workplace<\/a> survey of 1,100 workers, 80% of respondents described their workplace environment as toxic. The alarming statistic is an increase from 67% just a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The challenging environment has major implications. An astonishing 71% of workers say their mental health is poor (40%) or fair (31%), while only 29% rank it positively: 20% said it was good and 9% described it as great.&nbsp; Workers say that a toxic workplace culture is the top cause of their poor mental health (59%), followed closely by having a bad manager (54%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vicki Salemi, a career expert at Monster, says that toxic work environments can lead to more than burnout. \u201cStressful and toxic work environments aren\u2019t just bad for business\u2014they\u2019re dangerous for employee health,\u201d Salemi explained in a press release. \u201cOur findings show workers are reaching a breaking point, prioritizing their mental well-being even over promotions or raises.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employers cited some ways that their employers can support their mental health. Half of workers who feel supported say they\u2019re allowed time off for doctor\/therapy appointments; 29% say they feel supported by having a generous amount of paid time off and 23% say that policies specific to mental health are important ways to show support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mental health is incredibly important to employees. The majority (63%) care more about it than having a \u201cbrag-worthy\u201d job. Likewise, many would pass on a promotion (43%) or opt out of a raise (33%) if it was better for their mental health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, most workplaces are not meeting workers\u2019 standards when it comes to properly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/91371737\/77-of-employees-have-worked-through-a-mental-health-crisis\">supporting employee mental health<\/a>. Regardless of the fact that workers seem to be feeling strained, most of them don\u2019t feel their employer is responding to workers\u2019 mental health needs. The vast majority (93%) say their employer isn\u2019t focused on supporting employee mental health\u2014a statistic that rose drastically since just a year ago, with 78% claiming the same.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While not every worker struggling with their mental health is able to throw in the towel. That\u2019s especially true in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/91387498\/what-is-job-hugging-new-career-trend-why-gen-z-is-into-it\">era of \u201cjob hugging.\u201d<\/a> But that doesn\u2019t change the fact that many would like to.
