Sam Rivera has been a Christian R&B artist I’ve been enjoying lately, and I was really enjoying this song yesterday on repeat. Kodoku and Sam Rivera kind of sound similar so it’s difficult to tell who’s singing which parts, but Sam Rivera co-wrote the song with Eric Yang, and it’s a very interesting song. It’s a person struggling with faith and looking for guidance from God, and I especially enjoyed the play with God’s name, “Your way Yahweh”. Some people coming up play the Christian to make it in the industry, or get caught up in the chain of compromises for success, though Sam Rivera seems genuine. And with music, it’s more what you think when listening to music than any intent. So here’s hoping Sam Rivera doesn’t go the way of Christon Gray and similar artists who started well, but became the world. But then, that’s the test of our faith (trust in God) isn’t it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
