You don’t get very far into reading the Bible and the world is so wicked that God judges and wipes out all but Noah and his family with a flood. This was the time before rainfall, and their was a moisture layer in the atmosphere that protected humanity from UV and cosmic rays giving them much longer lifespans, measured in hundreds of years. So in Isaiah 65 there is perhaps a clue to lifespans that correlates to the waywardness of humanity, as God is giving details of the Millennial Kingdom when Christ rules the world in righteousness with true justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 65:20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[20] No more shall there be in it\n    an infant who lives but a few days,\n    or an old man who does not fill out his days,\nfor the young man shall die a hundred years old,\n    and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed. (ESV)<\/code><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
So after the tribulation period the configuration of the earth will be changed to something similar to what existed before the flood, where long life will extend into hundreds of years, and God seems to indicate an unrepentant sinner will be cut off at 100 years. An interesting time limit given our lifespans in this age. Was this the only way to limit sinful humanity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And beyond the length of days, there are fundamental changes to the animal kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 65:25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
[25] The wolf and the lamb shall graze together;\n    the lion shall eat straw like the ox,\n    and dust shall be the serpent\u2019s food.\nThey shall not hurt or destroy\n    in all my holy mountain,\u201d\n                says the LORD. (ESV)<\/code><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
And God drops in what happens after the Millennial Kingdom. And of interest, this was written hundreds of years before Christ came to His people, or appeared to John to give us the book of Revelation. Consequently, there will be the golden city of Jerusalem<\/a> which all of God’s children will inhabit with Him for eternity, the size of which is magnificent, and built by God descending out of heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[17] \u201cFor behold, I create new heavens\n    and a new earth,\nand the former things shall not be remembered\n    or come into mind.\n[18] But be glad and rejoice forever\n    in that which I create;\nfor behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy,\n    and her people to be a gladness. (ESV)<\/code><\/pre>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
