And we yet again find out the white coats are hiding just how dangerous this drug is for their pharmaceutical megacorp overlords, and per protocols of their medical megacorp hospitals. The OCGFC eugenicists run the world, and this drug is the primary means of abortion and population control today after they allowed Roe v. Wade to be reversed, all for division and an issue for Demonrat politicians to bandy about continuously. Pressure is growing on federal agencies to regulate the abortion drug mifepristone, following publication of a series of alarming reports. The latest report, published<\/a> last week by the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI), analyzed Medicare and Medicaid data and discovered that the vast majority (over 80%) of women who visited an emergency room with complications from the abortion drug had their abortions miscoded as miscarriages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study examined nearly 30,000 emergency room visits and found that between 2016 and 2021, a period of five years, miscodes of emergency room visits following surgical abortions increased in prevalence from a rate of 26.8% to 73.9%, while miscodes of ER visits following mifepristone abortions increased in prevalence from a rate of 45.5% to 83.5%. Additionally, acuity \u2014 that is, the measure of the severity and complexity of a patient\u2019s condition \u2014 was significantly higher (at a rate of 50%) among miscoded cases than correctly-coded cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen abortion-related emergencies are disguised as miscarriages, it impairs a doctor\u2019s ability to make informed, evidence-based decisions. That isn\u2019t just a documentation error \u2014 it\u2019s a public health crisis,\u201d said Dr. James Studnicki, vice president and director of data analytics at CLI and one of the authors of the study, in a statement obtained by The Washington Stand. He added, \u201cThe abortion industry\u2019s push for concealment is unethical and dangerous. Women deserve honest guidance and proper medical care, not advice that jeopardizes their health.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another of the study\u2019s authors, CLI Vice President and Director of Medical Affairs Dr. Ingrid Skop, told TWS, \u201cAs a board-certified OB-GYN practicing in Texas, I\u2019ve seen firsthand the devastating effects abortion drugs have on women, as I have been called to care for them in the ER regularly.\u201d She explained, \u201cThis study exposes the abortion industry\u2019s reckless advice for women to hide their abortion drug use from doctors, delaying proper care and risking their health.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skop continued, \u201cDoctors are disadvantaged when they are unaware of a patient\u2019s abortion history. They may need to intervene more quickly to remove retained pregnancy tissue and\/or the dead baby to prevent serious infection when abortion drugs fail.\u201d The veteran medical practitioner added, \u201cNo other area of medicine tolerates such dangerous misinformation \u2014 it\u2019s a direct threat to women\u2019s safety.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary Szoch, director of the Center for Human Dignity at Family Research Council, told TWS, \u201cThe miscoding of a mifepristone abortion as a miscarriage can lead to a delay in care for a mom whose life may be in danger as the result of the use of the abortion drug mifepristone.\u201d She clarified, \u201cMiscarriage and abortion are not the same thing \u2014 and they do not have the same impact on a woman\u2019s body. Planned Parenthood even records miscarriage and abortion as separate occurrences; but, at the same time, Planned Parenthood advises women it\u2019s \u2018up to them\u2019<\/a> whether they tell their doctor about their use of mifepristone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Szoch concluded, \u201cUnfortunately, they leave out that a decision not to tell their doctor they took mifepristone might result in severe bodily harm. Mifepristone is an incredibly dangerous drug. It kills unborn children and maims moms physically and emotionally as it does so.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another recent study, this one from the Ethics and Public Policy Center, found<\/a> that serious complications related to the use of mifepristone are 22 times more common than claimed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), prompting<\/a> widespread calls for the health agency to reexamine mifepristone and restore stringent regulations surrounding its prescription and use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A subsequent CLI report debunked<\/a> the \u201cbaseless claim that \u2018abortion drugs are safer than Tylenol\u2019 because it lacks scientific credibility and evidence.\u201d The report found that the claim must be based on \u201ca controlled, scientifically appropriate study comparing abortion drugs to Tylenol,\u201d which does not exist and \u201cwould be impossible to do [conduct] because these drugs are used for entirely different purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the FDA first approved mifepristone for use in 2000, three in-person physician visits were required before the drug could be prescribed, the drug could only be prescribed by a physician, it had to be dispensed and consumed in the physician\u2019s office, and a follow-up visit was required, as was reporting of any complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, then-President Barack Obama eliminated many of those provisions, including the requirement that the abortion drug be prescribed by a physician and consumed in-office, as well as the mandatory follow-up visit and reporting of complications. The Obama FDA also lowered the number of required in-person physician visits prior to prescription from three to only one and increased the \u201cmaximum gestational age\u201d for prescribing the drug from seven weeks to 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, the Biden administration further weakened the remaining safeguards, requiring no in-person physician visits, no physician to prescribe the drug, no dispensing or consuming the drug in-office, no follow-up visit, and no reporting of complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this week, newly-minted FDA Commissioner Marty Makary pledged<\/a> to conduct \u201ca review of mifepristone and work \u2026 with the professional career scientists at the Agency who review this data.\u201d As TWS documented, his new promise to reassess the abortion drug is a shift from his previous positions on the subject, refusing to commit to reviewing mifepristone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking the lives of unborn human beings, made in the image of God, is glorified and celebrated by a large segment of our society. The rejection of God\u2019s moral standards for sex paved the way for this startling \u201closs of natural affection\u201d in our culture (2 Timothy 3:1-3)\u2014just as it had in ancient societies that would sacrifice babies conceived from sexually depraved rituals (Deut. 12:31).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deceit of Democrat-led Government agencies, media, schools, and entertainment has also played a key role in the abortion agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women have been told lies about the reality of life in the womb. While left-leaning groups claimed that unborn babies are merely \u201cclumps of cells,\u201d they also advocated for women not to be shown ultrasound images of their children prior to abortions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abortion pills\u2014especially with safeguards removed\u2014offered a perfect scenario to block women from coming to realize the human life they would be destroying. In the cases where women reconsidered their decision, Democrats also worked overtime to demonize Pro-Life groups offering women the chance to reverse the process after taking the first of the two-pill regimen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While simultaneously convincing women that the pro-life reversal drugs were medically questionable, the FDA used corrupt means to shield the public from the dangers of abortion drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like so many other issues in our culture, this is a spiritual battle. Jesus warned that Satan is \u201cthe father of lies\u201d and a \u201cmurderer from the beginning\u201d (John 8:44).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agenda pushing for abortion has been framed as a matter of \u201cWomen\u2019s rights.\u201d Nothing could be further from the truth. Those advocating for the murder of unborn human beings have shown their true colors.
