I pointed out in the original story that they have a major gas pipeline to the UK and the EU, and are making out nicely with the Ukrainian war and higher gas prices due to Russian sanctions. And this might have spurred another story I saw this morning about America supposedly working with Russia to get Nordstream 2 back up and running, which would hurt Norway. Ford aircraft carrier of the US Navy is seen in t\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">JAVAD PARSA\/NTB\/AFP via Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By Kurt Zindulka<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Norwegian government has vowed to continue supplying fuel to the United States Navy after a local oil and shipping company said it would boycott America over the recent confrontation between President Donald Trump and Ukraine\u2019s Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norway\u2019s Ministry of Defence said on Sunday that U.S. ships would continue to receive support from the Nordic nation after Norwegian marine fuel supplier Haltbakk Bunkers said it would cut off operations with the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, Defence Minister Tore O. Sandvik <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regjeringen.no\/en\/aktuelt\/statement-from-minister-of-defence-tore-o.-sandvik-on-recent-reports-concerning-naval-support\/id3090130\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>: \u201cWe have seen reports raising concerns about support for US Navy vessels in Norway. This is not in line with the Norwegian government\u2019s policy. I can confirm that all requested support has been provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe U.S. and Norway maintain a close and strong defense cooperation. American forces will continue to receive the supply and support they require from Norway.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the dramatic Oval Office meeting on Friday in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was ejected from the White House after being accused of disrespecting President Donald Trump, the privately-owned Norwegian fuel supplier Haltbakk Bunkers described the scene as the \u201cbiggest shitshow ever presented on live tv\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a since-deleted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kystens.no\/nyheter\/nekter-a-selge-drivstoff-til-amerikanerne-vi-har-et-moralsk-kompass\/2-1-1786648\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">post<\/a> on Facebook, the company reportedly said, \u201cHuge credit to the president of Ukraine for restraining himself and for keeping calm even though the USA put on a backstabbing TV show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt made us sick. Short and sweet. As a result, we have decided to immediate STOP as fuel provider to American forces in Norway and their ships calling Norwegian ports. No Fuel to Americans!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe encourage all Norwegians and Europeans to follow our example. The U.S. Navy also has a fleet of&nbsp;replenishment tankers which can refuel ships at sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since calling for the boycott, the Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/haltbakkbunkers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">account<\/a> for&nbsp;Haltbakk Bunkers has gone dark, likely indicating that it was either deleted or made private, according to a notification displayed by the social media company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the call from the Norwegian firm to boycott the United States, Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah suggested that America leave the Western NATO military alliance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2025\/03\/01\/mike-lee-calls-for-exit-from-nato-after-norwegian-fuel-company-stops-refueling-u-s-military-ships\/\">saying<\/a> on Saturday, \u201cEurope doesn\u2019t love us\u2026 Let\u2019s leave NATO.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Norway is an extreme socialist country, but there are supposedly limits to how far they will go.
