And his mention of the US taking over the region is curious, and you just have to assume a negotiating tactic. Per a state department person, it could take 10 years to just clean up the rubble and take care of unexploded ordinance, and then x-ray the land before reconstruction given all the Hamas tunneling. Consequently, there is going to be a lot of money made with clean up and reconstruction, and we wait to see what happens to the Palestinians that are left without homes. They also sent a joint message to the newly appointed U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the letter, which, according to Axios was delivered to the State Department on Monday, the ministers stressed their intention to cooperate with Trump\u2019s \u201cvision of peace\u201d for the region while emphasizing that a two-state solution would be the best way of doing so and for providing security for Israelis and Palestinians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noting that the Middle East is already \u201cburdened by the largest displaced and refugee populations in the world,\u201d they cautioned against increasing \u201cthe risk to regional stability by further displacement, even if only temporary, as it increases the risk of radicalization and unrest in the region as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foreign ministers also stressed that Palestinians should \u201chelp rebuild\u201d the enclave that has been devastated after months of war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gazans \u201cshould not be stripped of their agency during reconstruction and must take ownership of the process with the support of the international community,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPalestinians do not want to leave their land. We support their position unequivocally. Such a move will add a new dangerous dimension to the conflict,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The diplomats also raised alternative ideas to Trump\u2019s proposal, intending to present plans to rapidly improve the situation of the over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza until reconstruction efforts begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Egypt further announced it will host, in the near future, an international conference in Cairo for the reconstruction of Gaza, together with the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the last several weeks, the idea of relocating a portion of Gaza&#8217;s over 2 million residents during reconstruction has been repeatedly proposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump\u2019s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, brought up the idea of transferring some Gazans <a href=\"https:\/\/allisrael.com\/trump-middle-east-envoy-witkoff-reportedly-mulling-temporary-relocation-of-some-gaza-residents-to-indonesia\"><strong>to Indonesia<\/strong><\/a>. Days later, the Prime Minister of&nbsp;Albania, Edi Rama, denied reports by Israeli media that his government was negotiating with the Trump administration to take in <a href=\"https:\/\/allisrael.com\/albanian-pm-edi-rama-denies-there-was-a-request-from-the-us-to-take-in-palestinians-from-gaza\"><strong>as many as 100,000<\/strong><\/a> Palestinians.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trump seems to be negotiating the Arabs into a corner, as none of the Arab nations want the Palestinians who are considered troublemakers.
